Sorry to hear that. Im sure it is difficult right now.
My mom was a radiation tech. She ended up running the department in a small hospital. She loved it. Had to deal with hospital administration, but she loved doing the job.

Its a good job. Right now my main considerations are opportunity for growth (none where I am) and being someplace useful to people.

I am in water science, (civil engineer) and unless you are working for a public agency it’s getting to be pretty cut throat out there, maybe a water treatment plant operator but otherwise I would look elsewhere.

I’ve been in the water industry for nigh on thirty years, primarily in catchment management but also stormwater and sewage management ...I support this lifestyle choice if you head down that path. Mind you...I'm not currently working at the moment!
